Day 35

Woman (to herself): That went well. (She sits down.)

(James begins to wonder through the light. It appears as if he is walking many miles until everything becomes even brighter yet he trudges onward. At this point disembodied voices are heard).

Voices (eerily, overlapping): This is the point of no return. Turn back. Watch your step, the world awaits. Shadowy forces in the evening, THE EVENING! Etc.

James (scared): Who-who's there? (behind him appears a shadowy figure which attacks him. It quickly knocks him down and generates a shadow dagger of sorts. As it goes for the kill James disappears leaving the creature upset. Cut to the Woman sitting as James suddenly appears there, now able to see more clearly. He sees some rolling hills in addition to the paved road in front of them. The Woman rises).

Woman: So, how was your adventure?

James: I went into this bright area with floating voices.

Woman: Describe them.

James: They were creepy, they clearly didn't want me there. It was is if I was in danger and they knew it.

Woman: Were you?

James: Well some being made of shadows attacke-

Woman: You went to the lake! And heard the voices on your first trip! Oh wow, you can't understand my excitement! Everything must be clearer now!

James: Yes, but what was that thing that attacked me?

Woman (gravely): That was an arbiter. They hunt down those who have escaped the cave but haven't seen the full light of reality so that they may be returned to the cave through force.

James: Deadly force?

Woman: No, not deadly. But rather what seems to be deadly at first instead pulls you back into the cave. I lost my mother to it.

James: I-I'm sorry.

Woman: Well one day you may meet her. Hey, look at yourself, you are looking great! (She pulls out the mirror and we see James, much younger and more complete).

James: Wow, what happened?

Woman: Something we must tell the council about and soon.

James: Council?

Woman: They will fill you in.

(They travel to some large gates).

Woman: This is Angelin. I have some one the council wants to see, let me in.

(The gates open revealing a city of gold).

James: Angelin?

Angelin: Yeah, it is a strange name. Now come with me.

(They walk through the incredible sites of the city until they reach a large sparkling building.)
