Love is something people say is a strong word. Just like hatred. But this isn't about hatred, it's about love. To me, love is an intense and unconditional feeling where you feel complete around this person and/or feel the need to protect this person from all possible harm. Or maybe it is just a mix of crazy hormones that fade away after a year and leave us with out the crazy way the media presents love to main stream America as making love every two hours. I much prefer the way older movies showed it, as an innocent flower blossoming and entering life and smelling the mysteries of life for the very first time in the world. Love is something that is sacred and pure, however it feels as if this concept is slipping. TV shows now a days tend to go towards the edgier stuff because that sells. Can they be blamed for that? No, there job is to make something profitable and not explicitly good. For example MTV's programming has drifted so far from music that they are now more of a reality show channel, topped off with Jersey Shore, then a "Music Television" channel which helped popularize the concept of music videos and made them more profitable for artists. What I can't understand is why does everything go back to money? We lose so much by just thinking about the money. We lose good television and the sanctity of all things real and sensual to us. The sacrifice is simply not worth the money and I believe that love should be shown as it is, a sacred feeling between two creatures.
