Day 270

A clown
Is not what everyone loves
A creep behind a mask
Of make up and stunts
Wearing a fake smile
For you
Is not
(What everyone loves:
A clown)

Day 263

(Scene begins. A disheveled revolutionary named John and his Fellow hides in a bush and John turns to his Fellow).

John: We can't take much more.
Fellow: No, no we can't but look John we have to. We must to preserve the sacredness of all that is good in life, all that is good in capitalism and all that is good about flowers.
John: They will never be only green and red but now they can be yellow and purple and maybe even pinkle!
Fellow: I don't really know if pinkle is a color but now you have that spirit again! Now do we need to go over the plan?
John: You get the back?
Fellow: Yes.
(John and Fellow split up in opposite directions. As John rounds a corner 2 monstrous creatures attempt to ambush him. He disposes of them and enters the building, gun drawn. There is a great commotion by creatures which look similar to the monstrous creatures.)
John: Calm down, I am only here for The Guide. If The Guide is handed over immediately then no one will be harmed. I repeat I am only here for The Guide.
Creature Leader: How did you get through our guards?
John: Don't think you're immune to bullets. (everyone panics). I see what you are doing, you are pretending to be human so that I will go away. Well guess what, it isn't going to happen! Now all you stinking monsters will give me The Guide and no one will be hurt.
CL: We have many guides, which do you want?
John: The Guide! Don't give me that blank face! I want The Guide now or else there will be repercussions!
(At this point Fellow walks out with his gun to a high ranking Creature).
John: What did you do? This wasn't the mission!
Fellow: Do you have any choice but to go along with it?
High Rank: Look I have a family, let me go and I'll give you anything you want.
Fellow: Bullshit. (High Rank struggles).
John: Let him go!
CL: Who are you talking to?
(It's apparent that no one else knows that Fellow and High Rank are in the room).
John: Please, just let him go.
Fellow: Nah (Fellow kills High Rank).
John: I can't let you get away with this. (He empty a clip at Fellow but with the appearance of no holes anywhere).
Fellow: Pointing a stick at me won't do anything. I'm you. I'm you. I AM YOU! (Fellow attacks John as we get our first look at reality. John is in fact a disheveled man with a stick who appears to be attacked by nothing as he runs out of the building. Reality and John's mind begin to meld for the viewer as reality morphs into John's mind before John suddenly falls. In reality we see him picked up by the police. Cut to the interrogation room. There is an officer and the atmosphere is more like that of an interview).
Officer: So John, can you tell me what happened?
John: Fellow told me our mission was-
Officer: Fellow?
John: The name of one of the revolutionaries.
Officer: So you were part of a revolution. What for?
John: He's here. In the corner.
Officer: Who, Fellow?
John: Yes, in that corner right there. (He is there for John but not the Officer who only sees an empty chair).
Officer: We'll make him go away if you tell us everything.
(Fellow gets up and walks to John).
Fellow: You can't trust him.
John: Get away!
Officer: Is he here?
John: Get away!
Officer: I'm sorry but my job is to be here!
John: Get away!
Officer: Doctor! (A doctor comes in and takes him away. Years later he walks out of the hospitable and walks into a park where he meets his grandchild).
Child: Grandpa, you're back!
John: Yes I am! Let's go on the swings!
Child: OK!
(They both go on the swing laughing. Cut back to reality and John is laughing at an empty swing while on a nearby area such as a hill stands Fellow, laughing. End scene.)

Day 253

It was a Wednesday like any other at the studio as crowds of people crowded the studio audience to watch there idol provide a performance like non other. No one knew the guest on today's show except that it would be some one famous and that it was neither the president nor Oprah.

Then the curtains flew back to a great applause as a tall man with beautiful curly brown hair stepped from behind the curtain. His walk was almost that of a party drunk but had to much confidence to be that of a party drunk. His eyes were warm and full of greetings to the crowd they scoured but in reality they hid a dark truth to himself that he could never let out. His name was Bach Sius and he was the host of the popular game show The Games just a few years ago before it was cancelled due to budget restrictions. It should be noted that Bach Sius has not been seen since then.

"Hello, and welcome to The Games! Today we have a very special show that will focus on the mythology of the ancient Greeks but first I would like to ask yourselves to restrain yourselves- yes something I know is hard to do around me- as our special guest is one of great stature. Now introducing the Prime Minister of Italy, Joviani!"

Much to both Joviani and Bach's dismay the crowd broke out into cries of booing. One guest had the audacity to ask "How's Mary?" to which Joviani famously replied "she's fine" wishing to give a simple answer that would not vindicate him in the ongoing moral scandal. When the scandal was resolved he made it clear that his actions during the show were influenced by how the audience reacted to him.

"Are you ready?" asked Bach
"Yes" said Joviani
"Remember, we're not gods and we got this in the bag" whispered Bach (better known as Bacchus) into Joviani's (better known as Zeus) ear.
"Got you" said Zeus right back.
"Then let the games begin!" Said Bacchus getting right back to his show. "First question: Who is Zeus?"
"I am- I mean the lord of the sky and supreme ruler of all gods" said Zeus correcting himself
"Look who thinks he's confident" said Bacchus teasing. "Who is Hestia?"
"A dirty, terrible, ugly whore who-" He was cut off by Bacchus' look of fear, "I mean the goddess of the home."
"Absolutely correct. How many girls in here would appeal to Zeus?"
Much to the audience's horror he gave them a good long stare. As soon as his stare ended he began to count on his fingers and when he finished counting on his fingers he looked at Bacchus and said "507" despite not having 507 fingers. To destroy the tension he also added "and Matt" secretly hoping that nobody would guess that the supreme god's favorite past time was watching The Doctor save the universe for himself.
"That sounds about right" said Bacchus, unsure of the actual answer itself. "Call me Matt" said Bacchus hoping for another laugh which worked. The show went on in this way until the million dollar question.
"Who is Haphaestus" asked Bacchus
"I think I need to use lifelines" said Zeus. Instead of simply asking the audience himself he summoned his son Hermes to ask the audience for them. Hermes told him the audience was sure that Haphaestus was the son of Zeus how ever Zeus did not wish to admit to having an ugly child on public television despite having pretty much admitted that he liked Russel T. Davies Nu Who stories compared to Stephen Moffat's, something tantamount to heresy in the fan base. To this extent he had Hermes call the other gods, Hera, Poseidon, Hades, Eros and even Athena all said that Haphaestus was Zeus' son.
"If you don't answer soon, we'll have to stop the questioning" said Bacchus a look of fear in his eyes.
"Very well, you call the forge guy" said Zeus to Hermes. Luckily "the forge guy" happened to be Haphaestus who in his anger at his father shouted through the phone that he was Haphaestus and that he was the God of the forge before Aphrodite interrupted him and Hermes hung up the phone. Zeus having acute ears caught the entire conversation and answered the correct answer and had no need to confess that he has and ugly son. When everything calmed down and all were gone Hermes looked to Bacchus and said:
"Maybe it was a good idea that we never told him about Midas."
"Yeah this was far more amusing then watching him turn Hera, Haphaestus, Aphrodite and Ares into gold. Want to get a drink?" said Bacchus
"Sure" and the two walked away, while Zeus now had the money to hire a lawyer to get out of trouble and never once realized that he was on a game show on unnecessary until about a year later when similar events happened with a younger girl and he snapped his fingers as a get out of jail free card. Never the less Zeus learned his lesson, game shows are always out to get you. Whether or not this is the lesson Bacchus and Hermes looked to teach will never be known because they refuse to reveal it.

Day 252

The watery grave
Of Poseidon
Sinking from the sea
Into Hades journey
Like all else
The mortal gods
Wonder there fate
In little need of no help.

Walking fields
In the waking mists
Of watery oceans
The giants roam.

Tuesday, October 11, 2011

Day 250

Carrying the carriage
Of the human
In the bag of fir
If the leaves grow
We know something's wrong

In the blaze
Of heaven
The err of man
Shall sit in crown

The clouds fading
(Separating)
Through the dark night
The folly of man
Growing
In the flames of life
For all to see

Do you have no shame?
Man's err forever known
Do you have no shame?

(What shame may I have
When all is known
To all but me?

What does it matter
When all is known
To all but me
And I know not
Of what is known?)

If the blaze starts
On the grown leaves
Of the Fir bag
What is the difference
What trouble we are in?

The vanity of man
Stops the err of man
The plain sight of it
From being known.

Err of man
Darkness from nothing
And all
Is the err of man.

When the err is not seen
What difference does the err make?

Coming off the roof.

The following guilt
A blind man by the hand
Led to his thought
Of what is to be done
In the age of old
What has been lost
A marvel of man
The follower of a thought
A precedent in all
Power to be gained

A blind man by the hand
Led to his thought
In his old age
What never was
Slipping by
Forever.

Breaking away from gravity
Like a field of dreams
